Childfree tranquillity is yours with a choice of two exquisite, recently renovated cottages in the gardens of an historic, hillside farmhouse, overlooking Etruscan Arezzo. The 1 ½ acre mature garden is bursting with more than a dozen types of fruit trees, olives, rare conifers and numerous antiquities, including a 2000 year old Roman cistern! The house, built around a watchtower which dates back some 1000 years, is surrounded by the green waves of the Tuscan hills yet only 10 minutes from Arezzo's centre, the Piazza Grande.

La VEDUTA, (a beautiful view) the larger of the two has a huge sunbathing terrace with panoramic views, an outside eating area and private garden. The large sitting room has an open fire place, dining area, stereo system and an antique billiard table complete with cues!!! The newly-fitted kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, full hob/oven unit and large fridge/freezer. The spacious double bedroom, like the rest of the cottage is finished in the Tuscan style with exposed chestnut beams and a cotto floor. The modern shower room has a fully automatic washing machine. An iron and hairdryer are also supplied.


The second cottage, IL BACIO (the kiss), also with panoramic views and an outside dining area, oozes charm and romance. It dates back hundreds of years and still has the forno or bread oven in the sheltered patio which would have been used regularly. It is on two levels. On the lower level there is a cosy sitting/dining room with open fireplace, stereo and a Tuscan oak dresser which opens to reveal a fitted kitchen. The loft is reached via an oak staircase and here there is a double, hand-crafted wicker bed. Most of the cottage is the epitome of the old Tuscan country style, furnished with locally sourced antiques but the exception is the shower room which has the latest in Italian fittings! Laundry facilities are available in the cantina across the terrace.

After confirming availability, booking will be confirmed on receipt of a 30% deposit, or 100% payment if booking is withing 8 weeks of your holiday. We accept payment by Internet Bank Transfer or Cleared Cheques(GBP/EUR). Non Sterling/EURO cheques will incur a surcharge.
