DESCRIZIONE:
Chianti is not just the name of the most popular wine in the world, but also a wide hilly area of Tuscany comprises among the provinces of Arezzo, Florence and Siena.
The Chianti production happens also in the provinces of Pisa and Pistoia on the west side and Prato on the north. The Chianti Colli Senesi is a DOCG wine producted in the province of Siena.

This wine has better features in the regard to the Chianti produced elsewhere. First, it is more fragrant, but also very suitable for people not used to drink wine. It can be easily matched with all the dishes of the Italian kitchen. It should be drunk young to enjoy the most its qualities.
In the heart of the hills of Chianti Senese, a few kilometres from important places of interest of both Tuscany and Umbria, lies this medieval borgo composed of: fortress, Villa, eleven farmhouses, private chapel, stables and other rooms for a total surface of 19400 square metres. The borgo is crossed by narrow lanes and typical medieval tiny streets. Its total surface is of 8000 square metres. The majority of its constructions still keeps the original features both internally and externally.

THE VILLA:
The Villa has been erected on the highest part and overtops the entire property. It has a characteristic “L” shape and is disposed on two levels. On the ground floor we find large living rooms with old stone fireplaces, kitchens, a billiard room, some bedrooms, bathrooms and storerooms. Still on this floor there are five bedrooms with en suite bathroom. The first floor has more or less the same disposition of the ground level, but includes other rooms and bathrooms. (10 bedrooms and bathrooms).
The loggia placed on the first floor lets everybody enjoying a stupendous view on the valley on one side and on the garden on the other side.
Some furniture, like doors and windows, date back to the early 20th Century. The Villa is linked to the Casa Padronale through a small bridge.
CASA PADRONALE: Inhabited until a few years ago, it is connected to the cantinas on the ground floor of the Villa.

GRANAIO:
Typical of the farm estates, it has a beautiful ceiling, with exposed bricks and trusses.
The workshops were once used by local artisans inhabiting the hamlet.

PRIVATE CHAPEL:
In the most isolated part of the estate lies the church, still decorated with frescoes. Beautiful and still untouched is the adjacent bell tower.

A magnificent park with secular oak-trees and fruit trees surrounds the property and offers a spectacular view onto the hills around Siena.
The garden is adorned with lemon trees and magnolias and leads to the stables.

LAND:
The land, 700 hectares in all, comprises this valuable DOCG vineyard, famous all over the world.
There are also many Californian prune trees, pear trees, apple trees and an olive grove.
