Pianora is attached to another farmhouse which is owned as a second home by an Italian gentleman form Rome albeit that the current owners in the 3 years of their ownership have never met him as apparently he only visits for 1/2 weeks a year.

The house sits above a small hamlet (borgo) with local shops and restaurant/bar less than 3 minutes drive away. In nearby Caprese Michelangelo, the birthplace of the great painter and sculpturer, there are further shops, restaurants, post office and banks.
