DESCRIZIONE:Based on our recent (and, of course, highly educational) experience of being English-only-speakers trying to buy property in Italy, I highly recommend the Estate Agent team of Riccardo and Marta Romolini, of ROMOLINI IMMOBILIARE, based in the beautiful hilltown of Anghiari (AR), Italy.
They are professional, thorough, much more than competent, multi-lingual, and worked with us not only before and throughout the process of finding and buying our property, but have continued to freely provide much-needed information and recommendations to help in the settling in and renovation phases demanded by our choice.
(The fact that most or all of their recommended architects, builders, plumbers, etc., are also named Romolini, is a mere byproduct of Italian fate and circumstance, I am sure).
By doing prior internet and email homework from Riccardo's and other web sites, we were able to schedule a short trip into Tuscany, see 17 properties in two and 1/2 days, revisit our properties of serious interest, make our offer and compromesso have it accepted, and schedule the eventual closing with the notary--all within the space of a week.
This would not have been possible without Riccardo and Marta working with us and ensuring our understanding of the process at every step.
We found that the Romolini's knowledge of the area and the range of properties available far surpassed any other agents or agencies that we contacted.
