Well-known ever since the Roman Age as renowned vacation site, Positano is still very famous for the mildness of climate and the eternal beauty of its landscape. The historical centre is characterized by typical staircases, that connect the very top of the village to the seaside, which can even be reached by the "Metrò del Mare”.
A few minutes from the historical centre and the seaside, a wonderful historical villa built on a rock around the 13th Century. Originally a small fortress used to sight and defend against Saracen pirates, coming from the sea to plunder coast villages. Hence the name "La Corsara”.
