San Casciano in Val di Pesa

In den Hügeln des Chianti, nicht weit von San Casciano in Val di Pesa und Florenz entfernt, befindet sich ein 31,2 Hektar großes Landgut mit einem Chianti-Classico-DOCG-Weinberg (24,8 ha) und ländlichen Gebäuden. On the Chianti Classico hills, a short distance from San Casciano in Val di Pesa and Florence, an 41.9-hectare estate with vineyards (24.8 ha), olive grove (6.1 ha) and manorial villa. The property focuses on the production of grapes (with the possibility of creating a wine cellar in the buildings to be restored) and olive oil, but one could also focus on developing the estate for tourism and accommodation purposes by restoring the manorial villa and its annexes.

DESCRIPTION OF THE BUILDINGS

The convent (647 m² – 6,962 ft², 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms) was built in 1237 and documentary evidence exists in the archives of the notary Palmerio di Corbizio (containing priceless documents dated 1237 and 1238). The property was then renovated in the 1990s, using it as accommodation and preserving the building’s original charm.

Upon entering the building, the ground floor contains the reception halls (living room, kitchen and dining room), which are arranged around a characteristic central cloister, the old cellars, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. A staircase reaches the upper floor and halfway up the ramp gives access to a bedroom with private bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. The first floor opens to a large living room connected to a second kitchen and a side reading room. The sleeping area on the floor consists of a large master bedroom with private bathroom and walk-in wardrobe, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a shared walk-in wardrobe.

From the living room a staircase leads up to the turret where an elegant bedroom with a 360-degrees panoramic view of the surrounding countryside has been created.

Right in front of the convent is a two-story agriculturalstorage (287 m² – 3,088 ft²) in need of renovation. Behind the building, in a secluded and barely visible position, is a guesthouse (69 m² – 742 ft², 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom) made up of a spacious living area with kitchen corner, closet, two bedrooms and a bathroom.

DESCRIPTION OF THE BUILDINGS, STATE AND FINISHES

The main villa (447 m² – 4,810 ft², 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms) is an elegant three-story building with turret, recently renovated and divided into five independent guest apartments. On the ground floor and basement (connected by an internal staircase) are the breakfast room with service bathroom and kitchenette, wine cellar/pantry and a store for the sale of farm products.
